  • November News

    Hello again,

For anyone not on my mailing list (why not, I ask? Click the link top right and get in on the action!) this thing landed in people’s inboxes this afternoon:

Have a look, it contains news about a thing I did for a TV show, my new songbook, some lovely shows at the Bloomsbury Theatre, and a discount if you buy my Christmas album. Please have a very awkward Christmas when you’re done.

As an added bonus, here’s a nice picture from Geek Lates, where Rob and I did a 15 minute version of our Domestic Science show 4 times in a night. It was superfun but we lost a lot of ping pong balls :/

This illustration is by the amazing Jade Walsh. Please commission her to draw beautiful things for you and pay her lots of money, thank you.

  • I’m a Science Grrl!

Hey, I’ve just realised I haven’t made enough of a song and dance about this here 2013 calendar I’m in… for SCIENCE! You can buy it here.

It’s the Science Grrl calendar, a project to show the real face of real women doing real science (plus some carefully placed comedians and TV presenters)

I’m one of the four Miss Decembers, alongside comedian Helen Keen, and astrophysicists Jen Gupta and Sheila Kanani.

The whole calendar is absolutely stunning and – oh look! It’s Christmas soon! Isn’t that convenient! What a perfect gift this makes for the Science Grrl or Guy in your life.

And if you buy it now and bring it to any of my gigs before the end of the year (listed here) I’ll even sign it for you. I’ll have my gold pen at the ready!

  • Best Comedy Performer at Buxton Fringe Awards 2012

This was a completely wonderful surprise this morning – Buxton Fringe have given me their 2012 award for individual comedy performance for my new show, Voice of an Angle.

    Cor!

I had such a lovely time at the Buxton Fringe that this really is the gilding on the lily. Talking of lilies, if you’re up in Edinburgh this August, do go see fellow awardee Lily La Scala in “Songs to Make You Smile” and Max & Ivan in “Con-Artists” – both brilliant shows.

And my now “Award Winning” show is here, 2-26 August at Underbelly:
